Working with the university’s alumni and community engagement team, and community groups, URAA has established several partnerships that help advance the interests of future U of R students and alumni. Chief among them is the partnership that URAA has with the alumni and community engagement staff.

Sponsorship support is linked to mentorship, relationship building, U of R alumni engagement, and U of R student engagement.

At the October 16, 2025 URAA Annual General Meeting (AGM), the following detailed partnership and sponsorship report was provided:

The University of Regina Alumni Association (URAA) is proud to support various groups, activities and initiatives that promote the university, its students and its graduates. The following is a list of programs and events supported by URAA over the past year and which it is currently sponsoring.

Alumni Crowning Achievement Awards – URAA is the presenting partner of these annual university awards that celebrate alumni excellence. The association has contributed $30,000 towards the program. This year’s awards have been combined with the university’s Sports Hall of Fame Awards – the ceremony took place on October 24, 2025.

50TH Anniversary Alumni Events —  As the presenting partner, URAA contributed $35,000 in support of alumni week events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the university – Alumni Week took place from October 19 to 26, 2024. One alumni 50th anniversary event “spilled over” into 2025: a celebration on campus on March 12, 2025, marking the 50th anniversary of the formation of URAA. As part of its 50th anniversary partnership funding, $5,000 was used to present this celebration, branded as Pay It Forward, a networking and mentoring event with alumni and students.
