The University of Regina Alumni Association (URAA) is the voice of and advocate for the more than 88,000 graduates from around 110 countries that are today’s business and community leaders, and volunteers. As a graduate of the University of Regina, you are automatically a member of URAA, a non-profit charitable organization that was formed in 1974. It is governed by an elected volunteer board of directors.
URAA is a champion of the university and its alumni. The mandate is to promote the accomplishments and achievements of alumni and the university’s current students while supporting the development of the University of Regina.
Members of the URAA are entitled to benefits and services that are exclusive to U of R graduates. URAA and the University of Regina strive to develop programs that are meaningful and valuable for its members.

Our History
The University of Regina Alumni Association was formed in 1974, a few months after the University of Regina became an independent university. The URAA’s first president was teacher and high school principal, the late Lydia Bramham.
The new association had a built-in membership in the graduates of what had been the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus. The second campus of the U of S was established in 1961, evolving from its junior college roots going back to 1925 and to the Methodist college that began operations in 1911.
URAA has come a long way since those early beginnings nearly 50 years ago, evolving into the vibrant non-profitable charitable organization it is today. It works closely with a dedicated alumni and community engagement team at the university to connect with, and advance the interests of, alumni. In serving the institution’s graduates, URAA and the university are truly going far, together.
